After a long and arduous set of fights, the Ellrynel Row, 2025, has concluded!
There was a full.roster for this tournament, and the winner was...Xenith!

First, second, third, and fourth were as follows:

So the tournament begins as...The Ellrynel Row 2025!

Players voted The Assembly of Judges as their judges for this tournament on Discord. As such, duels need to be mailed to Hojn for her to send out to other judges. If you don't remember anything about the AoJ, they have a wiki page here: The Assembly of Judges

Players were paired up based on the /roll 20 command, and screenshots of each player's rolls were posted on our tourney channel. For easy viewing, on our google sheet bracket lineup, I have listed each person's roll at the end of their name.

We have 8 combatants for a fully fledged tournament this time, and I'm looking forward to seeing who comes out on top!

Rules:

1. All duels must be completed in the Ellrynel Arena. If you are unsure where this is, ask me. You can also type twist to ellrynel if you have a glass ring, then type ellrynel map to bring up a link to a map you can look at to find your way to the Arena.
2. Both judges and combatants should refresh themselves on dueling and judging etiquette, as found here: Dueling/Judging Guide.
3. No disrespect of the judges and/or combatants is allowed. Disrespect can be defined as complaining about their judgment, belittling an opponent's win, or bad attitude surrounding a loss. If this rule is broken, you will be barred from future tournaments hosted by yours truly. Obviously, this is an OOC rule.
4. Have fun!

1. A gem of your choice (minus serekhite).
2. A home in Ellrynel.
3. A custom port to a place of your choosing (within reason).

2nd Place Prizes:

Earth Day Celebration

A one shot RP for Earth Day on March 22nd at 4pm is being hosted by JAELA, Khneo Witch of Earth.
A one shot roleplay is a roleplay that starts one one day and the entire thing concludes in the same day.
The event as described by JAELA is as follows:

Come celebrate Earth Day with JAELA, the Khneo Witch of Earth. Food, party favors, and a super special earth ritual dedicated to promoting balance in the world of Kuri are in store for all!

The Love Shack is Open!

You are cordially invited by Romeo d'Amour and company to The Love Shack! The entrance to said realm will open closer to February, the month of love and all things Erasmus. The direction will be down from The Road in Central Karchan.
We hope you will join us for the festivities, which will include but aren't entirely limited to:
-Tea Time with Romeo
-The Dating Game

-The Sweethearts Ball
Each larger festivity will take place on Sundays, as they seem to be the times when people are able to be around. As well, we will have a wheel full of fabulous prizes, which you can spin once a day if you desire! There are even some hidden goodies to discover.

The Frosthaven Fray 2024 Results

After a very long deliberation on the matter, as well as some back and forth on the matter, the results of the Frosthaven Fray 2024 Mini-Tournament are in!
4th Place - Tork.
3rd Place - Melita.
2nd Place - Sabin.
And the winner of this years Frosthaven Fray is Nerene!

Congratulations to all of the combatants. None of the duels were easy for The Deputy Team to judge, as they were all pretty evenly matched. The long deliberation was due to the fact that so many of these duels were head-to-head the entire time.

The Frosthaven Fray 2024

Our mini-tournaments have been pretty popular, so here is information for the fourth.
This tournament has something special in place: a randomizer.
Participants will have a random, non-permanent affliction generated for them at the beginning of the duel. including this affliction is mandatory
The affliction will go away after the duel ends.

Duels will be judged by The Deputy Team instead of the AoJ this time, so there will be no feedback offered on duels.

There are FOUR (4) slots available unless enough people sign up where a full tournament can be held. I require EIGHT (8) participants to hold a full tournament. This may possibly be subject to change.

The pair-ups will be determined by dice roll (specifically, /roll 20).

Tournament Rules

1. All duels must be completed in the Frosthaven Arena. (Clarification: Leaving the arena in your post can get you disqualified.) If you are unsure where this is, ask me. You can also type twist to frosthaven if you have a glass ring, then type frosthaven map to bring up a link to a map you can look at to find your way to the Arena.
2. No godmoding or autohits. If you don't know what these are, please ask. You can also use the /roll 10 command if you'd like to, but it isn't mandatory.
3. You must include whatever affliction arises from the randomizer in your post for the duraction of the duel. You will be judged on how your character reacts to the affliction.
4. If you are a shifter that can change or turn someone into what you are, then you are not allowed to do anything that would achieve that result, aka, no turning your opponent into a shifter. This also includes vampires/vampirism.
5. Please keep the climate/surroundings in mind.
6. Inflicting further maladies upon your opponent is okay, but it cannot be anything permanent/lasting beyond one round.
7. No disrespect of the judges and/or combatants is allowed. Disrespect can be defined as complaining about their judgment, belittling an opponent's win, or bad attitude surrounding a loss. If this rule is broken, you will be barred from future tournaments hosted by yours truly. Obviously, this is an OOC rule.
8. Please try to keep posts between 15-20 minutes. A timer bot has been added to our discord server that will send a notification when it runs out. It has the time left on it for reference, so be sure to check frequently. Going over your allotted time can lead to disqualification, at the discretion of the judges.
9. Have fun!

2. A port to the road, and a port to a place of your choosing.

RUNNER UP
1. 5,000 Gold.

Please request entry as a combatant by December 14th, 2024 so that we can hopefully get the tournament started by December 15th, 2024 if you wish to participate. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me!

Spectators are welcome for all duels! If you're interested in watching, the Karchan Discord Server is the best place for updates on the mini-tournament, in addition to combatants planning when to duel. I highly suggest looking at the 'tourney' channel there as things progress. If you have read this far and wish to sign up for the tournament, you need to send a MUDmail to Victoria with the character you plan on participating.
