Baymeth
Symbol: Teardrop.
Last Known High Priestess: The Khneo Witches or Edele
Sphere of Influence: Sorrow (Emotion, Grief, Strength, Mercy)
Known as the Goddess of Grief, Pity, Mourning, and Sadness, Baymeth is a deity that has somehow been forgotten over the course of time. Little is known about her other than what she resides over, there are definitely more than enough rumors about where she has disappeared to.
Her flock consisted of the downtrodden and heartbroken, and so great was her love for her people, that Baymeth sought to ease their worries and concerns, as well as make their frowns and tears vanish. It saddened her to see them suffering as a people, so rumor has it that she did something miraculous for their benefit.
As the rumors go, she hand-selected a piece of land and made it beautiful and bountiful, perfect in nearly every way. Her people would be safe, and in an area that flourished all year round. Such a land has never been found by those searching for it, though it has reportedly been found by those invited in, as well as those accidentally stumbling across it.
Regardless, the existence of this land leaves scholars and psychics baffled, as it has never been found in hundreds of years. It is a rumor and an enigma, but Baymeth's name is always somehow attached to it. It is likely only a myth.
There are also rumors that the Goddess was actually a lesbian and had five daughters with five different women. Though popularly believed to be a myth for ages, it has been confirmed by each of the Witches of Khneo that they were born of two mothers, one of them Baymeth.
Baymeth still has a High Priestess, though it is her wish that this woman not be advertised as a Cleric of the Deity, since she now goes by a different name and serves a different purpose.
