Immwolkn

The Immwolkn (em-wohl-kin) are a race created by Tyvarliek Carnelian that are half undead. They are turned into Immwolkn through several spells that General Tyvarliek Carnelian performs, but this process also involves the person's death.

These creatures can feed from blood and food alike, but food is still a necessity for life. Just as they will be turned by a spell, they can be turned back, but only through the General's hands.

Their strength, speed, and agility, all of these things will be enhanced, and magic abilities granted in part. Those with magical abilities will be enhanced and strengthened, and a slew of new abilities gained with the change - though it seems these abilities are unique to each Immwolkn, making each one deadly and unpredictable.

However, it would appear they will have weaknesses as well. The Immwolkn are vulnerable to the opposite of how they died, so one would have to know the circumstances behind their creation first. If an Immwolkn was burned to death, then water would ultimately harm them upon being reborn as an Immwolkn.

The first known attempt at creating an Immwolkn was the individual now known as Eurus Alauda, the Shield of Decay in CPDC. Tyvarliek traveled all the way to a different planet to find the corpse he saw in his crystal ball, and took his apprentice, Poppy Agnese, with him. His attempts to resurrect Eurus seemed to have failed, but as they left, the corpse re-animated and followed. After a slow and tedious process, he eventually turned from Corpse into a living, breathing person again. He was a failed Immwolkn experiment, so he was only resurrected, not turned.

Immwolkn Facts

  • The Immwolkn do have to eat, just not as much as Karchanians as a whole. They can also partake of Blood except for The Bloodless Undead, and blood will further enhance their abilities, but also increases the chance of an Immwolkn going berserk due to the taste of it in their mouth.
  • The abilities of an Immwolkn depend on the way they died, and are discussed with Tyvarliek before hand. Their weaknesses would also depend on the way they died. Very slim examples:
    • The Drowning Undead - Command over water/harmed by fire.
    • The Gilded Undead - Power to Generate armor from gold/Issues with Silver.
    • The Breathless Undead - Impervious to inhaled poisons, can stay underwater forever/wind mage would be a formidable opponent.
  • Just as Tyvarliek gave the Immwolkn their abilities, he can also take them away. He will not create a race to go against the wishes of Obsidian, so any Immwolkn wishing to leave Obsidian's service will be returned to their former race.
  • Breeding - Immwolkn can still have children, but the children will not be 'part/half immwolkn'. If the immwolkn was a human before, and their mate/lover/spouse is a human, the child will be human. The only 'side effect' this has, is the possibility of the child being born faster, within a couple of months time.
  • Berserking - The immwolkn can go berserk on occasion, and the likeliness of this happening is increased if they partake of blood (which is really only encouraged right before a battle). If this happens, they can attack enemies, allies, and innocents alike. Eventually, there will be a mark created to keep the Immwolkn from attacking Allies, but not until it proves necessary to encourage fun rp amongst the ranks too. ;)
  • Healing - The Immwolkn, unless they had healing abilities prior to their death, do not heal any faster or slower than normal humans. If you get hurt, you get hurt. The only thing I can offer you in the way of healing, is you are less likely to feel pain if surrounded by the way you died. Meaning, if the Burning Undead is in a lot of pain, he/she should jump into a fire to numb himself and possibly heal in slight. Very slight. Like, 20% of the damage can be fixed, and only once
