Land of Karchan

Rhianneth

Rhianneth, originally Rhiannon, was born the twin sister of Tidus to the god of evil, Obsidian, and his second wife, Lilu. Already partially divine from birth, she grew up as part of her father's following. After becoming inappropriately involved with her twin, her incestuous relationship was forbidden by their father, Obsidian. Rhiannon was devastated by the declaration, and killed herself out of her great sorrow.

When the Crimson Paladins of the Dark Castle were taken over by General Tyvarliek, he resurrected her. Thus, she was reborn as Rhianneth. She served as the Shield of Shame under the General and her father, neither suspecting that she returned to the land of the living changed in more ways than one.

When her best friend, Merissa, was enslaved using her own soul as an anchor, Rhianneth's true powers showed themselves. She killed her friend in a fair fight, then brought her back to life after crafting her a new soul. Having tapped into power great enough to create a new soul, she triggered her divine nature. Additionally, she gained her first real follower - her friend Merissa, who now owed her soul.

After a long deliberation, Rhianneth eventually parted from the CPDC in an effort to clear her name. She was never really evil, and she had always been charitable in various ways. She was an ill fit to the guild given her nature to begin with.

After more stuff happened, Rhianneth then discovered her true soultwin, her younger half-sister, Hestia. The younger goddess of Greed balanced out Rhianneth's nature perfectly; and they found themselves to be a dual aspect - Greed versus Charity.

Rhianneth's ascension to full godhead happened around the time she fixed Elusen, when Riwen, Goddess of the Oceans that was born from Mielikki's essence, had grown weary of being a deity. She asked Rhianneth to take her power and become the Goddess of the Oceans, and Rhianneth happily agreed to. Riwen's sacrifice of power weakened her to the point of death, but Rhianneth sustained her and cleared her memory of ever being a deity, as requested.

Thus, Rhianneth resides among the deities as the Charitable Goddess of the Oceans, Matron of Sea Folk.
