Sharana'ar
This mystical emerald isle is set among the azure waves somewhere to the south. Its exact coordinates are a closely guarded secret, though certain trusted sea captains have been granted the knowledge as a boon from the denizens of the sea. Perhaps the crew of the Scylla Tide or the Siren's Lure may agree to grant passage to this rare locale - for the right price.
Those who travel to this far-flung speck have need of caution. It is said to be the home of the notorious kelpie, a race of savage women who can appear as a horse. Men are NOT welcome.
The geography of the island is characterized by towering mountains, brilliant green vegetation, and countless water features. Rivers, streams, waterfalls, and brooks abound. The black sand of the beach suggests that the island's magnificent elevation may be volcanic in origin. A cascading delta of waterfalls pours into the ocean on the southern end of the island, and further upstream is the tallest waterfall in the Lands of Karchan.
The visiting adventurer will find no inns, no taverns, and no accommodations of any kind. The habitation is as wild as its inhabitants. The only point of interest aside from its natural geography is the only known Temple of Shara. This sanctuary for the goddess of Streams, Rivers, and Waterfalls is located high in the mountains, where her children, the kelpies, can pay their respects.
- Rumor has it that Sharana'ar hides a priceless treasure.
