Sisterly Bonding

Date: August 5, 2017

Location: Children's Ward

Adamina will post after you.

Valdis sitting by a small magical ward, a new age thing, the doctor's have been doing, for premature births. Looking a bit tired, and stress worn, the butcher seemed to be more relaxed. When the doc announced, that her daughter can come home tomorrow.

Changed your title to : 'Daughter of Marw and Zuvimas, Owner of the Midnight Inn '.

Adamina is meandering through the hospital. She has probably received word of her sister's condition, and stopped by to see her and the baby. "There you are," she says, peering over her sister's shoulder at the infant. "This is quite a mes you've made for yourself, isn't it? How's the baby?"

Valdis looks up and over, usually sensitive to her surrounding. Was surprised to see her sister. "When did you get here, how...?" Sighs. "Mother." Turning about, hand lifting to rub at her forehead. "She's fine, how it happened I don't want to talk about it." Her usual hard sturness, laxing.

Adamina rolls her eyes. "How do you think? I took a carriage. Now, let's talk about this situation before someone does something stupid. There's the child's future to consider, after all." Her eyes slide to her sister's face and narrow ever so subtly. "I'm married, Valdis. I know how babies are made. Why you would muck up such a plum arrangement is what I really want to know. Do you think any fortunate man will marry you with a bastard daughter? A bastard daughter born early at that? I hope this one still wants you. We might still get something out of the deal." She peers down at the baby, looking thoughtful.

Valdis jaw clinches, eye's focused on her daughter. Mina's words ticking her off. "I don't want to marry. I don't need a man, I do just fine on my own. As for Xenith, he can shove his posh demeanor up his ass."

Adamina shakes her head. "Well this isn't about what you want, now is it? It's about what's good for the family. You're marrying Xenith because he's rich and that benefits the family. Don't you think Mother would like to retire at some point, or should she keep providing for you and your bastard child for the rest of forever? Suck it up, buttercup. Marry him and ignore him if it pleases you, once you have a son your end of the contract is fulfilled anyhow. Things like this are all business with noblemen. He will probably have mistresses." Valdis brb

Valdis jaw ticks, lips piercing together in a frown. "I have a butcher shop, I feed the family as well as make profit. She doesn't have to lift a finger, to support me and my bastard." Curses as she remembers the damn contract. "If we marry, ignored or not, I forbid another to touch what is mine." Voice hard..

Adamina continues to stare back at her sister. "Your shop is hers, remember? You work for the family business. She takes care of you, arranged this marriage for you because youasked her to, and this is the gratitude you show? You should be lucky she didn't marry you off to a swineherd or a moron, Valdis. Come on." She lets the last bit go, because that's not her marriage, not her business.

Valdis is quiet for a long moment, the wheel's in her head turning before she curses again. "I hate you, you know that..?" Glancing back over her shoulder, glaring at her sister, knowing the woman was right and hated it. She hated that her sister, made her look like the crazy one. Turning to look back at her daughter, the baby still sound asleep. "I haven't named her." Changing the subject.

Adamina regards Valdis with a level gaze. "Everyone hates me. I left for two-hundred years and made a fortune from piracy instead of staying here and doing my duty. But you know what? Now I'm rich, and can help. What do you have to show for all that time?" She takes a step closer. "But you can hate me all you want; I don't hate you. If I did I'd just let you fall on your face instead of trying to make this situation better." She brushes a lock of wavy, auburn hair away from her face and peers down at the baby. "What about Xenia? Xenia de Lourdes has a nice ring to it."

Valdis sighs, suppressing a laugh, that threatened bubble up. Shaking her head. "I should have left as you did. But I was to busy, shaking my ass at random men." Thoughts of her random lover's, coming to mind, she had a string of them at her wake. "Xenia, de Lourdes... I like it." Looking over a small form of paper work, her frown deepening, she hated paperwork. "Once I have this signed, Xenia can go home. I was thinking of having her room

Valdis "Once I have this signed, Xenia can go home. I was thinking of having her room, set in royal purple, and soft gold's. What do you think?"

Adamina smirks and nods in agreement. "I was bored, Val. I was bored of everything being the same all the time and listening to Mother complain and Father shit his pants without any real opportunity to improve my own life outside of marriage. It wasn't fair that I had to stay there with all those nutty cultists either. None of this is fair." She looks down at Xenia again. "I think that'd look really nice. If you want some help decorating, maybe I could come or Joy could sew some baby things for you or something. We could do a fun project with it."

Valdis huffs, nodding. "I secretly envied you, for year's just for leaving." Faint smirk thrown Mina's way. "That would be nice, any help would be nice actually. I'm not to head strong in that department."

Adamina smiles and reaches down to stroke the baby's hair. "I'll head home now and get some stuff together, then bring it by the house. Alright? And if you want a babysitter so you can sleep for a couple of hours, just drop her off. I'll be going now, but take care of yourself--and think about what I said." Since her player has to go, she bids her sister and baby Xenia goodbye and departs for Solol.
