The Deveraux Name

The Deveraux name is one very engrained in the history of Solol but many are superstitious about it and do not utter it.

It is commonly found in the history books of Solol that the Deveraux family was one of the first founding families of the village, a well off noble family that enjoyed the finer things in life.

It is known that the first Mr Deveraux of Solol was the mind and driving force behind the observatory. However tragedy struck and not long after it's completion he perished, thought to be by his own hand, leaving his family behind.

They sold the observatory which passed hands many times, generations went on with the family and then it came to Seren.

The star of the Deveraux story, it is not her life that is why she is famed but her death, the death that was the catalyst of the curse.

Her gravestone is a place of pilgrimage, gifts of flowers and toys are often left there as to not have bad luck upon the visitor. It is a common theory though that Seren may not be actually buried there, or at least wholly buried there though no one dare to try, the careful eye of the cult always upon the place.

Where the Deveraux Family went after that is unknown, perhaps death came for all of them, perhaps they went to the land of the light, away from the land of the dead, perhaps they still flit the dark cobbled streets of Solol.

The Deveraux Family is not one that is currently played, it is an NPC family built for the history. I am potentially open to people who might have ideas that could be apt for this family in terms of stories. Potentially, no promises if someone wanted to play a member of the Deveraux family, I might be open to that depending on the pitch. See Mya if so.
