The Spirit Realm

Origins

The Spirit Realm was created by Pela in direct response to Osnodon's more malevolent Underworld. She created it for those not meant to suffer, and for those needing comfort in death.

It looks like space and is easily traversed by those who die honorable deaths or have lived somewhat neutral or good-aligned existences.

Occasionally, an evil doer will find themselves in The Spirit Realm, but they are usually reincarnated or possibly sent to petition a god to return to the world of the living.

Government

The Spirit Realm is a good, peaceful place that is governed by The Haunt, who often guide people to different areas withing their realm. They have the ability to take spirits where they need to go, and are direct descendents of Pela, the embodiment of the realm and their ancestor.

Sights to See

The Spirit Realm is not like other areas, as it is a realm made specifically to bring peace to the dead or help them move on. There are four spaces specifically, however, that you can go within it's confines.

Limbo - This is a space that is for undecided spirits. It is a comforting place where they can spend as much time as they like until they've made a decision on their next move. Some people appreciate Limbo so much that they never leave, spending their afterlife amongst individuals of like minds.
Petition a God - There is a space where one can petition a god to return to the world of the living. Whichever god they reach out to may grant their request and bring them back to life, or they may deny their request and leave them in The Spirit Realm.
Reincarnation - Spirits that wind up here are able to choose to be reborn, the same soul but a new person. When they are reborn, they lose most of their memories save for a handful of deja vu moments. They may not even be the same race as before. They start off as babies, but may grow very fast.
The Underworld - The path here is treacherous, as it is where evil spirits are drawn to. The space dedicated to move spirits down to Osnodon's Underworld feels peaceful enough, but to arrive here indicates that bad things lie ahead. It is a single space where one can travel below.
