The Trinket Family

Being the CPDC Shield of Lust comes with its own fair share of difficulties, and as such, Merissa has quite a lengthy list of children from different fathers. She has a few grandchildren as well.

Children

Relyt - by Demistry
Her oldest child, Relyt had a traumatic early life, somewhat neglected by his mother and constantly under threat. Eventually, Demistry took Relyt away to raise him elsewhere, leaving Merissa bereft. Returning to Karchan at the age of seventeen, the boy joined the priesthood of Obsidian and has had a strained relationship with his mother ever since.

Tryleros - by Demistry
Somehow when Relyt was born into the mortal world, his shadow twin was born into the shadow realm. Not much is known about this terrifying demon.

Hevlarn - by Valrehn
The twin of Dafyd, but with the Burned Undead as his father. He has also exceeded his twin brother in years, due to magical tampering. Hevlarn proved to be Merissa's greatest disappointment when he defected from Obsidian to run away with his then girlfriend (and now wife) Leia, the daughter of the High Priestess. He now lives peacefully in Ammerville, much to his mother's chagrin, and holds the position of Magistrate in that city.

Dafyd - by Lloyd
Believing that he had died at birth, Merissa had no knowledge of Dafyd's life until his father, Lloyd, returned from retirement to serve the following of Obsidian once again. He had considered Merissa an unfit parent, so he claimed that their child died during birth and squirreled him away for most of his life. He now serves as a young acolyte to Obsidian.

Allura - by Devonte
The child of Merissa and a merman, Allura was taken from Merissa as a baby because she nearly died from lack of water. Though able to live in the walker world now that she is older, the young halfmaid was unable to be away from the sea when she was a small child.

Septimus - by Sypher
Sepitmus was the result of a duel won against the Knight of Prowess, the stakes of which involved the loser becoming pregnant with the winner's child, either by magic or "the old fashioned way." Merissa won, and thus she impregnated the Knight. Being a Knight, he never allowed Merissa to have custody of their child. However, she has had a few very short, very supervised visits. He had no name until later in life, being called only "Seven" by his father until Merissa finally settled upon Sepitmus. Where ever he is now, it is known that he is not allowed to play with swords, thus, the child is being trained to fight with an ax, like his father and grandfather before him.

Melanie - by Orlov
Melanie is the daughter of Merissa by a dragon that she met one day in Crocodile Cove. She was not planning on a pregnancy but things happen. She never got the name of the father, and she never plans to, having by this point been traumatized into believing that all of her children will eventually be stolen by their fathers. Though she has her mother's good looks, the teenage girl has definitely inherited many of her father's tendencies and mannerisms, particularly her love of treasure and hoarding. Rumor has it that the girl has been sent to reform school, but Merissa has yet to personally confirm the story.

Casanova - by Karcas
Young Casanova is already growing his beard! He lives with his father in the little shop, but he often visits his sisters in Frosthaven. His closest companion is the three-legged dog - Rufus.

Lolita - by Bethrezen
Another "oops" baby, Lolita is Merissa's little angel - literally. Being the child of an angel of Victoria, she is the only one of the Trinket brood to be co-parented by both parents at the same time. Merissa's association with Bethrezen is on-going, though why is a mystery. Lolita is currently serving as an altar girl for Obsidian's temple, in spite of the fact that she is a known follower of Bjorn. She has been heard to say, "If Obsidian wanted me to follow him, he would have been a bear." Who could argue with such logic?

Calypsa - by Ailean
The product of a steamy night with a sea cowboy, Calypsa is Merissa's little selkie child. She dreams of one day becoming a spice merchant who will also smuggle arms on her ship. Though she has never actually seen the sea, she is convinced that it is the best thing ever.

Evera and Evela - by Eferlithe
Eferlithe was unimpressed by Merissa's many other children. Therefore, it took him quite a lot of time, persuasion before he finally gave her a pair of his own. These two cute little dragon girls are still very young, really not old enough to be seen outside of the home except in rare circumstances. They are not exactly twins, however. There was a third born with them, although her father appears to have been someone other than a dragon.

Magdalina - by Sidian
Thus far the youngest of Merissa's children, Magdalina is the daughter of Sidian. She was born prematurely when her mother went into labor with the older two, Evera and Evela.
