Land of Karchan

Victoria

Symbol: Pillars.
Last Known High Cleric: Cohen.
Sphere of Influence: Justice (Vengeance, Retribution, Fury, Karma).

Victoria has a long and complicated history in Karchan, even prior to her ascension. She has always been known as a fierce opponent in battle, and she has been a polarizing figure in the past due to her former demonic lineage versus her surprisingly just nature.

She has been a person fighting on the side of good for as long as she has been in Karchan, believing that the wicked must be punished and that their sins must be accounted for. Despite this firm belief in justice, she married her equal in battle, Neraka, despite him being Obsidian's chosen warrior at the time.

Victoria took a long leave of absence from Karchan when Neraka went missing inexplicably, and she searched for him to no avail. When she returned, the land was much different, and despite her many good deeds (including entrapping Obsidian in the Evil's Bane Locket and helping end a war, she was reduced to no more than 'Neraka's Wife', and some even assumed she was evil due to that union.

When the Blue Stone shattered, she searched high and low for the missing pieces, hoping to mend the shattered stone, and in all, she managed to obtain twelve pieces out of roughly fifteen or sixteen.

When these shards of the blue stone began losing their power, they endeavored to keep the magic in them alive, so they bonded to Victoria and merged with her soul with an odd sense of sentience. Victoria, who was already very strong and had bested deities in the past, ascended due to the extra boost in power, making her a full fledged goddess despite years of speaking ill of religion and the fickle nature of the gods. She was forced to reexamine her views on the matter, so she decided to do what she has always done - fight evil. The Goddess prefers to be seen as a symbolic figure rather than a religious one, but those that serve to worship her are also expected to fight for her causes.

She became the Goddess of Fury in the sense that evildoers should be shown no mercy, only be faced with divine wrath for their wicked ways. She later became Goddess of Justice due to Caelwyn becoming radicalized. (Roleplay found here: Better That Ten Innocent Suffer )

Victoria is also the divine mother of the Furies, women who have lost their lives unjustly only to be reborn as warriors to her cause.

She has remarried to Dhyrhice Montclave, and he has raised her son with Neraka as his own, while the pair of them have several other children. Victoria also currently resides in Khneo.

Quotes that embody Victoria's Ideals:

"As long as karma exists, the world changes. There will always be karma to be taken care of."

"On wrongs swift vengeance waits."

"Revenge is an act of passion; vengeance of justice. Injuries are revenged; crimes are avenged."
