You Might Have to Choose

Klyavrite awakens the pendant on the neck of Atall.

Atall tells [to Klyavrite] : *sitting in a room that is most definitely not his* What's this?

Klyavrite tells [to Atall] : I believe we've spoken before, briefly. I also told you that this soulmate of yours is a broken person. Love is so strange, sometimes. *a long pause* Are you in need of something?

Atall tells [to Klyavrite] : Ah, yes we have.. the glowing confused me. You were right, but I love her dearly no matter how shattered. *smile in his thoughts* Love is strange, wonderful, and terrible all at the same time. *a pause* The glowing.. was you trying to gather my attention? Atall tells [to Klyavrite] : That is a.. good question.. There are two things I cannot function without, and that is my Goddess, and Ashton. I'm worried whether Her impression of my beloved fiance will not be an open minded one.. Ashton is beautiful and unique, fiery and cold.. closed off. It might bring a negative impression in the minds of Father and My Lady Arianrhod.. As you can imagine, I would not do well to be separated from her again.. permanently.. It's a constant worry. I'm not sure what to do.

Atall tells [to Klyavrite] : That said... I can't imagine.. I don't want to imagine the terrible things Ashton might do to herself because of it..

Klyavrite tells [to Atall] : That was me trying to get your attention, yes. I can feel your spirit stirring. You need assistance. I wanted to offer my services. *a beat of silence* Your situation is definitely a difficult one. The odds are not stacked in your favor, from my perspective. I think that I can help you though, but as with any favor or wish I grant, it comes at a price. I believe in full disclosure, as only a willing sacrifice is worthy of my intervention. I will give your Ashton the right words to say when she meets your family, as well as soften her just enough to say how she feels without completely changing her personality. A subtle touch is all he needs, for you are his greatest treasure. To say that being without you is detrimental to his well-being is an understatement, as the chaos surrounding you in his room more than implies. In return, rather than take something precious from you, I'd like to ask a favor of you. Perhaps I am growing soft in my old age, but if you want my help...you must fight for Ashton. Should things go sour after they've met him, you cannot give up. You say you cannot be without her, but sitting by and letting these people part you from someone tethered so deeply to you damages you both. You have to prove you are worthy of Ashton. I will help her open her heart and say what she feels, but if that is not enough, what I want in return is your willingness to push back. If you want him so badly, it should not be difficult to stand your ground. *Cryptically* You have absolutely no idea how important it is that you make yourself heard...

Atall tells [to Klyavrite] : *leans against the wall near the mattress* So much comes to mind hearing this from you. So many 'what if's ... *sighs* She is worth it all.. every ounce of effort.. but who would I be to the Goddess I swore my life and service to.. if she says, 'no' and I persist. She is the reason I am Blessed with what I have.. This is fighting with two sides of myself all over again.. I am only thinking of possibilities of course.. *he falls silent for a long moment..* I will.. speak to Ashton about this.. About you offering to help her.. It is his body, that is sacred to me, I would not request anything of this sort without her agreement.

Klyavrite tells [to Atall] : She will say no. I sense your hesitation, but I am only wanting the best outcome for the both of you. Without one another, you both will perish in different ways. I will not put words in Ashton's mouth, only guide him to find the words already written on his heart. Still, if you desire to speak with her first, I cannot blame you, but I do feel in my spirit that he will turn down any aid offered him. As for your Goddess, who would she be to you if she denied you your soulmate? Who is she to command you to stay away from the one person in the universe that can complete you? Is a being that cruel worthy of your devotion? Food for thought, most certainly. Still, it is not my place to question where your loyalties lie. Just know that there may come a time where you have to choose, and no one can make that decision for you. I can only hope that things work in your favor, for as a wearer of my pendant, I see you as someone I want to protect and nurture. Do what you must, and if you need me in the future, only call for me...

Atall tells [to Klyavrite] : *sighs again* I will.. think over this thoroughly.. very thoroughly.. Thank you for the offer. *sounds a bit overwhelmed*

Klyavrite tells [to Atall] : Have a good night...

Atall tells [to Klyavrite] : You as well..
